A Family Night Favorite!

Our boys LOVE to play hide-and-seek in the dark! Sometimes at the end of family night we play. The last few times I have taken Clay and given him a bath while they play so that he doesn't flip out. Koby and Spencer play on the same team against Brandon. They get out their camping head lamps, which work perfectly for this game. They always come running in the bathroom asking if I have seen dad. And of course they are so giggly and loud that they always give themselves away, so Brandon is trying to teach them the "strategy" of hide-and-seek! The boys will be excited when Clay can be a part of this family favorite!

Happy Fall!

Today was a beautiful fall day, perfect since we went to the pumpkin patch with the boys. We tried out a place that we've never been before. The one we used to go to a lot has gotten so busy all the time, and with school out today we figured it would be crazy there. The boys had fun, it was a smaller place, but they had a fun maze that we got lost in a few times. They also had a spook alley that kind of freaked them out a little, and shed that was pretty creepy with disgusting halloween guys. We barely walked in there before they came running out! Anyway, we got some cute pictures so I figured I would post a couple.

Anyone know how to stop boys from growing?

I can't believe that Koby is so big now and that Clay will also be this big one day - sooner than I want! I know I am in for much more than this in the future, but we will take things as they come. This morning Brandon told Koby to get dressed and his pants were right next to Clay's, so he thought he would be silly and put Clay's pants on. Spencer took a shot at it too, but we didn't get a great picture - he doesn't sit still for too long!

We have a few families in our ward with older kids. Last night I was watching a couple brothers messing around and just thinking about what that will be like one day to have a bunch of teenagers. I have nice thoughts about that, so hopefully my expectations are met! Koby was drinking straight from the apple juice jug the other day - not because it's allowed! But, I thought maybe when you guys are older I will just write your names on your own milk carton in the fridge and you can do whatever you want to with it! Brandon liked that idea!

Food, Glorious Food

Brandon is always excited to get our boys into the next stage, where I never want them to grow up and get bigger. But, he wins, and they always grow! The other night he was dying to feed Clay cereal. So, I told him if he really wants to, go ahead. He made him up a little rice cereal and brought the high chair upstairs. The big boys gathered around and had so much fun watching and taking pictures. Clay was in heaven, he couldn't get enough and couldn't get it fast enough. It was so cute. He was grabbing the spoon and Brandon's hands and just pulling them to his mouth. When it was gone, Brandon got up and pulled Clay out. Clay flipped out and was so upset. So, we had to make some more to calm him down! That's my boy, he's definitely a Hansen boy!

Leaping into the 00's

So, Brandon and I sold some stuff on ebay and Craig's List to get a new computer. The laptop we had was dead, won't even turn on. And the desktop is just slow and inconvenient. So, last week Brandon bought me my own laptop. I have really taken ownership of it and am loving being able to easily and quickly be on the computer getting things taken care of, and now keeping a fun record of my life. I am looking into getting a more personal and serious online journal as well. That won't be open to the public, sorry! Maybe when I die. So, I am feeling like I have leaped into the 00's (is that what we call it?) I also had Brandon teach me how to put pictures onto my computer from the camera, so I will be posting pictures here as well.
Oh, also, I LOVE fonts! And hate that when I blog I only have the choice of like four boring ones. I think I downloaded probably 200 or so new fonts onto my computer tonight. I did it one by one because it was worth it to me to get the super cute and original ones. So, Kim, thanks for yours, but I had to have more. If there is a way for me to send all these ones to you, then I will. They are cute and you should want them. Let me know how and I will do it.

My first official blog

I am really excited about having an easier way to track my life and record events and things that happen throughout the day. I am hoping that this will be a way of remembering more of the little things that are always left out when I write in my journal. Hopefully it will help me realize all of the blessings that I really do have and to be happy with my life everyday. I will always try to find something positive to write about. I don't want these years that seem to be flying by so fast to be totally forgotten and lost. I love my boys and wouldn't have my life any other way right now.
