The Goose is Getting Fat...

After a LONG afternoon and evening on Friday, we have our house completely decorated for Christmas. I love it, this is my favorite time of year. Koby and Spencer each have their own tiny trees in their bedroom that they decorate. They think it is so cool...During our decorating, Koby and Spencer were on the couch pretending to be Santa and the magic reindeer. One would wear a reindeer headband and be in the front, and the other one would be santa in the back. It was really cute...
After the house and tree are all decorated, we have a tradition that the boys get their first Christmas present of the year. I slipped them under the tree while they took a bath. It is always Christmas pj's. Here are my super cute Christmas kiddos...

Clay's First Snow

This morning we woke up to the first snow of the season. We sure enjoyed 74 degrees two days ago. But, the snow is pretty. This is Clay's first snow, although he didn't really get to experience anything but the colder air. I figure I had to take some pictures. Brandon came home early from work to take the big boys sledding. Even though three inches of snow is almost gone by afternoon, the boys didn't care. I tried to post a video of Koby going down the hill standing on his sled, but it didn't work. If we weren't already itching to get the Christmas decorations out, we for sure are now. Just one more day and the lights are on and the tree is up. We already started the music and baking/eating - dangerous!

The Pilgrim and the Indian

Koby and Spencer's preschool had the Pilgrims (4-5 year olds) come together with the Indians (3-4 year olds) for a Thanksgiving feast on Monday. Here are pictures of them with their awesome teachers - we love this school. Koby with Miss Debbie and Spencer with Miss Karen. This Thanksgiving (and always) I am thankful for my three wild indians!

Rub a Dub Dub

My boys have always loved their baths, and apparently Clay is no exception. It is even better than ever for him now that he can sit up and splash. Plus he gets buddies in the bath sometimes! After a nice bath, kiddos should crash, which is what Spencer did one night. This is what I found when I got home and went to check on the big boys and kiss them good night. Spencer is somewhere in this...

Clay's on a roll - kind of

So Clay refuses to roll over. He has done it a few times (although we have only witnessed it once). He is a happy baby, and is happy just about anywhere, back or stomach. He doesn't roll over, but he sits up for a long time mostly on his own. Sometimes I put the boppy behind him, but he does really well alone. Tonight Brandon sat him up in the bath and he thought that was pretty cool. Whenever B tried to lay him back down he flipped out until he sat him up again.

Imagination at Work

1 Batman and 2 Supermen
My boys LOVE to dress up. They have a bin of clothes that I keep having to replace with a bigger bin, then it overflows quickly. Here are some pictures of the latest imagination days that they've had. Koby gets way into it. One of my favorite characters of his is Larry, the night guard from the Night at the Museum movie. He puts on a jacket and a belt looped with keys on a retractable key chain and a flashlight. He has his paper with "instructions" too, it is cute. His police officer outfit also includes a belt with keys and a flashlight, plus a pair of handcuffs in a case. Koby loves to copy things he sees on tv and movies - in great detail!

3 Rocketboys on a spaceship

Proud Spencer!

Spencer has been practicing to write the letters in his name for a while now. S's are apparently very hard, he does them sideways, backwards, etc. Plus, he has a long name that is hard to remember how to spell. Last night for Family Night we made little sticker charts to try and get the boys to be more obedient and do things the first time they are asked. Spencer wrote his whole name for the first time on top of his chart. He was soooo proud of himself. He got the first e and n mixed up, but good job anyway!

A Haunted House

I had a spooky house on Halloween with three skeletons! Koby and Spencer had other ideas for costumes until almost a month ago when I found Clay a cute skeleton costume on clearance. They decided they wanted to be skeletons too. So, I made them costumes and found masks for $1. Perfect! Here they are on Halloween - Clay slept through most of the trick or treating, then ate through the rest of it! But, he sure looked cute! And, by the way, nobody has to teach a child with OCD about sorting your candy! Koby came running into our friends (the Krammer's) house and immediately dumped his candy out and started making piles! They never did that last year, I really think it was just obvious to him - that's what you do!

Clay meets Great Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma Marilynn and Grandpa Jerry have just finished a six month temple mission in Nauvoo. I was very pregnant when they stopped here for a few days on their way to Nauvoo, so they had not seen Clay until last week. We were happy to be one of their stops on their way home. We spent just a small amount of time with them, but had a nice visit. They are such great examples to me in my life. By the way, Grandpa was the first person to ever see Clay roll over! He has done it only a few times, two of them nobody saw. One, Grandpa was the only one around since Grandma and I had just walked into the other room! We are still waiting for him to do it again!
